The surroundings

The “Charente” is a stunningly beautiful yet fairly undiscovered area in the Southwest of France. It is characterized by pristine forests, fields of hay, sunflowers, picturesque towns and castles surrounded by vineyards that produce the region’s famous cognac and pinot wine. Interesting cultural attractions:

  • The annual cartoon festival, held in January
  • Old-Timer weekend in September
  • Visits to world-renowned cognac distilleries
